Bug Description

This seems to happen a lot in spec mode and with auth but sometimes it has nothing to do with them at all. It can happen when my client tries to auto_login, when i try to silence someone, or for no apparent action at all. Hard for me to reproduce, despite trying. Happens on many servers including Wild West, CTOS, etc. I have taken some screeshots. I have posted the first one twice by mistake but can't remove it.

Relevant system info:
Linux, latest 0.2.8_alpha

The no_real_teams string at the beginning of the lines (and other strings), I suppose.

Those are there because the servers aren't set up correctly and language strings are missing. It's sending console dumps to the clients with the untranslated strings and missing end of line character. Which servers are affected? It would be useful to know how the admins installed them, there may be a problem with standard installation procedures that "forgets" about the language files.

Oops, saw the affected servers now.

I don't think that it affects as many servers as I originally thought. Certainly, as we have tested, Wild West is one. I will go and test some servers now and, of course, if it happens on any servers in the future I will post here. I will provide a server name and a screenshot for each occurence.

Well, if you're talking about language strings popping up here and there, it's basically the server's owner fault for not updating them properly.

That's the question. Is it an error of the admin or of the installation script?

Marking as incomplete until I hear from the WW guys (or manage to reproduce it consistently on one of the CT servers). Relevant forum topic: http://www.lagtest.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=35199

WW admins only copy server binaries and don't use make install, so this is not our bug.

The WW guys use a manual installation process (aka, copy stuff around) and apparently forgot the language files. Enough for me to close this.
