Binary package hint: oprofile

The event INST_RETIRED.ANY_P causes an error

opreport error: parse_event_spec(): bad event specification: INST_RETIRED.ANY_P.10000.0.all.all.all

I am running Ubuntu release 8.10, and I installed oprofile 0.9.3 using the package manager.

Thank you for using Ubuntu and reporting this bug. Is this still a problem on Ubuntu 11.04, or even better yet, Ubuntu 11.10?
