Bug Description

Binary package hint: ttf-dejavu

Installing VLC and got an error about the DejaVu font.

When I tried to reinstall it, Synaptics complained that there was an error in the config file:

dpkg: parse error, in file `/var/lib/dpkg/status' near line 13562 package `gstreamer0.10-fluendo-mp3':
 error in Version string `256:': nothing after colon in version number
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (2)
A package failed to install. Trying to recover:

Both ttf-dejavu and ttf-dejavu-extra installed fine for me. What happens when you run: sudo apt-get -f install
