Bug Description

In Intrepid starting with kernel 2.6.27-7 my Acer TravelMate 4002 WLMI does not power down any more. the shutdown process seems normal otherwise, even the hard disk gets audibly turned off, but display and laptop power stay on. reeboot works, though.

The last thing to show on the terminal is "Failed to iterate IDE devices: No such device." but I reckon it doesn't have any thing to do with it, because this appears also if I select the old 2.6.24-21 kernel at boot, and then it does power down.

I couldn't quite figure out, what the right steps are for reporting this, so any hint is welcome.
