Saitek p2900 wireless gamepad won't sync

The version of ubuntu that I am using is

I really don't know which package is applicable

I expected to sync my p2900 when I push the sync button on my gamepad but they don't sync. I have two so it isn't a hardware problem since neither of the sync and I have also booted into Windows XP were they sync.

Dmesg when plugging it in

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Judging from your description, I am going to assign this bug to the libjsw package in hopes that it will have a faster response. If you believe that I have chosen the wrong package, please change your bug to the correct one. Good luck on getting it fixed!

I can report that I'm am having this problem too, on Ubuntu Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala with a Saitek P2900 Wireless Pad. I hope that this gets looked at soon, that controller worked just fine before the update for me, so I know the problem isn't on my end.
