I've got these errors while upgrading to 8.10 from 8.04, through update manager

Could you please run the following command and tell if you can reproduce it:
sudo update-mime-database -V /usr/share/mime

Changed in update-manager:
status: New → Incomplete

After I post the bug reports i reboot the system & i got something as
grub starts loading it said can not mount root (0,0) ...something
similer.
