crashes whenever i try to install something from add/remove.
example: When trying to install VLC, it fails and this is the error I get

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. This error is due to a corrupted filelist. A solution is described in bug 108189, so I'm marking this bug as duplicate. Feel free to continue to report any other bugs you may find.
