From the logfile, the error message was:

sun-dlj-v1-1 license could not be presented
try 'dpkg-reconfigure debconf' to select a frontend other than noninteractive

You need to accept Sun's license in order to install the sun-java* packages. If you install sun-java6-jre interactively then your other package which depend on it should be able to install non-interactively I guess.

Did you already try a "dpkg-reconfigure debconf" and select another frontend and try again?

I also have the same problem.

When trying to install sun-java6-jre, KPackakeKit downloads the packages, and before installing them, it probably tries to display the license, but fails. The error message is:
sun-dlj-v1-1 license could not be presented
try 'dpkg-reconfigure debconf' to select a frontend other than noninteractive

Changing the frontend to dialog gives the same error:
/var/cache/apt/archives/sun-java6-jre_6-13-1_all.deb
Preconfiguring packages ...
Preconfiguring packages ...
Preconfiguring packages ...
(Reading database ... 105205 files and directories currently installed.)
Unpacking sun-java6-jre (from .../sun-java6-jre_6-13-1_all.deb) ...

sun-dlj-v1-1 license could not be presented
try 'dpkg-reconfigure debconf' to select a frontend other than noninteractive

Changing the frontend to kde again fails:
/var/cache/apt/archives/sun-java6-jre_6-13-1_all.deb
Preconfiguring packages ...
Preconfiguring packages ...
Preconfiguring packages ...
(Reading database ... 105205 files and directories currently installed.)
Unpacking sun-java6-jre (from .../sun-java6-jre_6-13-1_all.deb) ...

sun-dlj-v1-1 license could not be presented
try 'dpkg-reconfigure debconf' to select a frontend other than noninteractive

Notice:
1. My computer runs KUbuntu 9.04.
2. I restarted KPackageKit between each change in frontend.
3. I answered the default answer for the second question that `sudo dpkg-reconfigure debconf` displayed. The question is "Ignore questions with a priority less than:" and the answer "High".
