Bug Description

Binary package hint: file-roller

This one is a little strange, but it is reproducible for me on my local setup. I open a multi-part rar file by double clicking the .r00 file, then I click extract. The default folder shown is the current directory, but when I click extract nothing happens - the button clicks but the dialog acts as though nothing happened. Other buttons work as expected; it's as though extract simply does nothing.

What's even stranger is the workaround I've discovered: I can then use the same dialog to change the directory (eg going to the parent folder), and then I can go back to the same folder I was in. Then the extract button works fine.

I get this as well. In fact, you don't even need to go up and down directories, just focus the directory selection panel (say, click a normal file, all of which are greyed out) and then click extract and it'll work.

I get this extracting any file that I've tried, multipart rar or no. I'm running up to date Ibex with file-roller 2.24.1.

Completely reproducible on any archive (either rars, as mentioned by the submitter, or any zips or tarballs or even debs) both my desktop and laptop, both running up to date intrepid.

Open any archive with file-roller, click extract and then click extract in the folder selection window that appears. Nothing happens.

If you then focus the actual file/folder selection pane within the folder selection window by clicking any file or folder in it and then click extract, everything works perfectly.
