I just reinstalled my laptop (Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Si 1520-5510) with Intrepid and my sound became horrible. I never had any problem with Hardy and previous releases.

I decreased PCM volume on the alsa mixer to half of the bar and sound is better now. Anyway, there is a bug somewhere as it was working fine with Hardy at the bigger level. Furthermore, having to tweak alsamixer is not an easy thing to do for lambda users.
