Bug Description
Binary package hint: vice
According to apt-cache:
This package does not contain the various ROM images needed to
actually use the emulators; they are available separately from other
locations (see the README.ROMs file). A corporation in the
Netherlands called Tulip holds the copyrights to the ROM images, and
redistribution is not permitted, but VICE itself is unencumbered.
Yet, if one does 'apt-get install vice', all of the emulated machines include ROM images. If the ROMs are under current valid copyright, they should not be in the package.
NOTE: Debian includes these ROMs with its own .deb, so is it okay to leave them in Ubuntu as well?

Hi,
Nope, debian (and neither Ubuntu) includes the copyright protected roms, marking the bug as invalid hence.
If you think, there is in fact a copyright protected rom shipped in the package, please reopen and give the filename of the rom in question.
Thanks,
Stefan.
