Bug Description

I was speaking to a HandBrake developer who is fairly knowledgeable on the MPEG4 container stack, and he wanted me to know that Ubuntu's libmp4v2 sourced from mpeg4ip is out of date. The new preffered libmp4v2 stack is at http://code.google.com/p/mp4v2/

From their site:
---
mp4v2 used to be part of the mpeg4ip library, but has been removed into its own maintained library due to a combination of the cessation of support of the majority of mpeg4ip and the usefulness of this library on its own.
---

I've done a quick look at the licensing of libmp4v2 and it's MPL, mpeg4ip + cisco + mp4v2 google code authors, just like the mpeg4ip stack we currently use. We should consider building libmp4v2 from here, and updating mpeg4ip.

There is a thread on ubuntu-motu list about that. It seems to be some licence issue with this package.

As stated in bug #794849, I see no point in uploading the new mp4v2 package for the time being. mpeg4ip can go, though.
