I'm sorry, it has been removed from Debian and subsequently removed from Ubuntu:

[Date: Fri, 01 Feb 2008 09:35:34 +0000] [ftpmaster: Launchpad Archive Manager]
Removed the following packages from hardy:

    treecc | 0.3.8-1 | source, amd64, hppa, i386, ia64, lpia, powerpc, sparc

------------------- Reason -------------------
(From Debian) RoQA; few users, unmaintained

Are there plans to maintain it again?

I'll offer to maintain it, then, for both Debian and Ubuntu.

I'm not a Debian Developer, nor an Ubuntu Developer, but I can become that.

Would that solve it?

Archive Admins: what do we do in this case?

Somebody needs to upload this package either to Debian (and then ask us once again to sync it to Ubuntu), or to Ubuntu. Jonas, if you want to maintain this package, you'll need to get sponsorship by the usual means (debian-mentors@ can help in the Debian case; ubuntu-motu@ can help in the Ubuntu case; in both cases, search the web for documentation on the process).

Until it's reuploaded to a current distribution, no action is possible on this bug, and so I'm unsubscribing ubuntu-archive. Once it's been uploaded, feel free to resubscribe us.

Incidentally, if you want to maintain it in both Debian and Ubuntu, the most straightforward method is to arrange for it to be uploaded to Debian (and synced to Ubuntu), and to subscribe to the package for Ubuntu bugs.

Unsubscribing u-u-s since there's nothing more we can do at the moment. Jonas, if you decide to work on getting the package re-adopted in Debian, please set the bug status to "In Progress", and assign yourself to it.

It has been almost a year since this bug report was updated. Is this package being adopted by yourself? If not we will close this bug report as it is no longer in Ubuntu as D Holbach stated.

This bug is being closed as the package was removed from Debian. If you would like this reintroduced into Ubuntu, I would suggest taking the maintainer route through Debian, after which we can sync/merge it from Debian. Sorry that we weren't able to help in this instance, but please feel free to report any other bugs you may find in Ubuntu.
