calender woes

Binary package hint: thunderbird

I installed lightning 0.9 and it won't load the old calender from 0.7 or let me import the back up .ics file I made or even create a new calender. I shows no calender at all. Am I missing something? did i not install it right. I am running on Ubuntu 8.04 LTS.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner.
There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test the current Ubuntu development version (10.04). If you can test it, and it is still an issue, we would appreciate if you could upload updated logs by running apport-collect 304210, and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.

I never released 0.9 for 8.04 on purpose. Since you are not using the version provided than we can not support it. Not sure what we are doing with 1.0 since i dont have time this cycle to package it someone else is but time is not on his side.

Hi John. We were having calender bugs related to daylight savings/time
changes on my wifes system so I tried 0.9. There was a fix that took
care all issues at some point. Its been rock solid ever since. Thanks
for checking in.
