Bug Description

Binary package hint: fontconfig

In /etc/fonts/conf.d/49-sans-serif.conf, there is a small bug.
<string>sans-serif</string> might have to be changed to
<string>sans serif</string>
without this, flash plugin in Firefox cannot get correct fonts, and
displays non-ASCII characters in blocks.
If the string is changed to "sans serif", this can be fixed.

So weird... in 8.04, fonts in flash plugin used to work fine, but in 8.10, it's broken, AGAIN.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.
/etc/fonts/conf.d/49-sansserif.conf from Lucid seems to not have this problem , the bug seems to have been fixed a while ago. Closing bug report as fixed.
