Bug Description
Hi,
Some tarballs have extensions, and python's tarfile doesn't always handle
them well. For instance something created with "git-archive" will appear to
have an extra top-level file in it, causing detection of whether it has its
contents in a sub-dir to fail.
Thanks,
James
