Bug Description

Any time the "Preferences" window is opened for the Hardware Monitor 1.2.1 applet, the "Size" setting is always reset to maximum.

The bad setting is applied immediately and performs bad squashing on the entire panel.

(this is in an up to date dapper)

I've looked at the source code, and AFAICT anything like this should only happen if something really bad is returned from GConf. Otherwise I've got no clue. IIRC I tried debugging this once on a Ubuntu install, but could not reproduce the bug after a recompile from the source tarball.

I need some more debug output to be able to see what's happening. A good place would be in src/preferences-window.cpp in the methods on_size_scale_changed and size_listener.

Have you tried with 1.2.1, edgy doesn't have 1.3 in it.. I'll look in to
debugging once i get a chance.

I just verified that upgrading to 1.3 fixes this problem.
