Bug Description
Kubuntu 8.10 fresh install via Wubi, with updates applied.
Update Notifier says "2 software updates are available"
Clicked to bring up Adept and installed one of the updates (leaving upgrade to libtool downgraded to get KDevelop to work).
Update Notifier still says "2 software updates are available" - clicking to bring up Adept only shows the one.

Starting with Kubuntu 9.10 the update notifier does not actually do update notification anymore. Those are now handled by kpackagkit.
Therefore I am now closing this report as wont fix. Thank you for your time nonetheless :)
