Bug Description
Binary package hint: ekiga
My laptop: packard bell EASYNOTE BG46-U-013D
My webcam (attached to it): no brand given, just USB 2.0 1.3M UVC WebCam; apparently quite generic
My graphics chipset: Mobile Intel GMA X3100 Graphics, Integrated in Mobile G965 Express chipset
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem,
* open Ekiga, do the first-time wizard, click on the video view
2. the behavior you expected, and
* video feed (and there it was, unlike on the last ubuntu :)
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
* video feed is upside down
Apropos: I hear there're differences in how DirectX and OpenGL return bitmaps (DirectX returns them upside down). This machine is "Vista-ready" or whatever it was, so maybe that's why?
Suggestion for fix: Add advanced options to the preferences: [picture orientation]: [no change, mirror-x, mirror-y, rotate right, rotate left, rotate around, mirror-rotate right, mirror-rotate left] and implement the transformations

This is pretty sure a dupe of 224559. Are casual users supposed to do the marking of duplicates? (I would have done it, otherwise)
