broken pipe could not execute /usr/sbin/sendmail

Hi, I use Ubuntu 8.10 with Mozilla and Thunderbird.

Up to now, everything worked fine, but today, I tried several times to send email and I always got the following message:

Error while performing operation.

Could not execute /usr/sbin/sendmail: mail not sent.

Could not send message: Broken pipe

What should I do?

Why are you trying to launch the app sendmail. What exactly are you doing to get this error? what versions of apps are you using. when you say "tried several times to send email" what did you mean?

friend, but I do not know how he did it and what was wrong.
