Hide new IM conversation NOT WORKING

Binary package hint: pidgin-otr

Hello,
my contats with otr session ignore global settings from preferencies - "Hide new IM conversation" set to "Always". That means, if I do not use OTR with some user and that user sends me message, conversation window is hidden (only tray icon shows new incomming message). But this does not work with "OTR" contats - conversation windows is always shown with new message instead of to be hidden.

I have pidgin 2.5.2 and otr from latest ubuntu package - 3.2.0

I can confirm this (using Intrepid on AMD64). Very annoying behaviour. :/

I really wonder how many years does it take to linux guru programators to fix this uber bug problem.
Is anybody here who thinks free software is the best solution? Has anybody encountered any kind of bug like this in Windows applications?

Still an issue on Ubuntu 10.10 with Pidgin 2.7.3 (libpurple 2.7.3) and pidgin-otr 3.2.0. "Hide new IM conversation" is set to "Always" in Pidgin preferences, yet incoming messages by OTR-enabled contacts forcefully pop up in a window.
