default tomcat install should log to catalina.out

Bug Description

When you install tomcat via apt-get, it logs to SYSLOG instead of catalina.out. It should log to catalina.out.

Ubuntu 8.10

What JVM are you using ? Is it the default for 8.04 (gcj ?) or did you install something else (Sun's JDK...).
