Thanks for the report, error log said:

BraseroGrowisofs stderr: :-[ WRITE@LBA=121f50h failed with SK=4h/ASC=03h/ACQ=02h]: Input/output error
BraseroGrowisofs stderr: :-( write failed: Input/output error
Session error : Erro desconhecido, abortando (brasero_burn_record burn.c:2524)

Unknown error, aborting. are you able to reproduce this everytime? may you tell us a few easy steps in order to reproduce that behavior? maybe the dvd (disc) is broken, did you tried with another ? thanks.

Well, it's the second time it happens in just a few days...two dvd discs lost! And the disc was fine, no scratch, no ratch, it was new. My dvd burner was very slow at the moment.

Well, i copied my data disc with brasero(30 minutos! super slow!) to a image file, then clicked in the "burn image file" brasero button, choosed the image file i created and choose to burn it. I don't think i did anything special.

Yeap, the error still happens. They asked me to try from command line. So i did, using growisofs. Error too. The error does not happen always, but happens frequently. What more information could i give?
My pc is a hp pavilion dv2000.

could you try if that's still an issue in jaunty? the bug should be sent to bugzilla.gnome.org by somebody having the issue

I am running jaunty, and had a similar error. I should have copied the error log, but didn't. It did it to me on two spotless blank DVDs. I was able to burn the ISO from Windows 7 with no issues. The weird thing is I decided to try watching the 'errored' DVD after I had burned the ISO in windows on a third disc, and the errored one I had burned in Ubuntu played in VLC on windows. I did not watch it all the way through, but did skip through the menu and a couple of scenes.
