Bug Description

Gradient of object misplaced after paste, paste in place.

Steps to reproduce:
1. open attached document
2. select rectangle
3. a. open new document
3. b. Paste
3. c. Paste in Place
Result: the gradient of the second object (step c) is placed at the position of the object of step b

Although
4. a. open new document
4. b. Paste in Place
4. c. Paste
keeps the gradient with the rectangle both times.

This is with inkscape-0.46-8mdv2009.1

Confirmed.
The same problem happens when you paste the style of an object with a gradient applied into another.
The gradient indicator mantains its position relative to the canvas, not to the object
That's a bug. There's a feature request that would solve this in the report #171304

Another related problem:
When the gradient is applied to a clone with undefined fill or stroke, the gradient position is always relative to the position of the original object. If the original object is moved, the gradient handlers are moved too.

Short: Yup, still there!

Long: I confirm it is still present in 0.48.
Any sort of copy/paste of an object with a gradient causes the gradient nodes of created new copy to remain at their original positions. If i copy/paste in place, the object looks fine until moved. When moving the nodes stay where they are, that can be seen after the move when selecting "Rectangle (F4)" tool.

PS: i've just noticed that changing a page size also breaks the gradients! Even the original ones!!! o_O
