What information do we need for this one?

Same problem (almost) using 9.10 with Swedish localization. Trying to export an OpenVPN profile from nm-connection-editor gives me a friendly error popup after chosing where to save the file (it defaults to somewhere in /dev where I obviously can not save it (and the file is not saved, tried /home/my_user/, usb drive, and sudoing into nm-connection-editor and trying to save from there). I also tried using the option to make the VPN profile available for all users, also while sudoing, same error.

I had this same trouble using 9.04 and 8.10.

Same here folks. Anyone looking at it? I'd like to move to 9.10 and do a new install. Without this I'll need to type in all those VPNs by hand.

I think there's enough info here to confirm the problem.

Same issue here with Lucid Lynx 10.04. I try to export my VPN and after choosing a filename and location (/home/user/...) I get this error.
"Cannot export VPN connection
The VPN connection 'Youniversity' could not be exported to Youniversity (pptp).conf.

Error: unknown error."

Very aggrivating this is still an issue.
Let me know if anyone needs more info.

10.04 and I can't export this settings either.
I tried to run nm-connection-editor as root (sudo) but this is pointless because then the list of VPN connections is empty.

Well, PPTP export isn't implemented yet; so this is effectively a bug in network-manager-pptp itself and a Wishlist bug. All the other plugins do seem to have the necessary bits (works here anyway).
