can't navigate DVD in totem-gstreamer

Binary package hint: totem-gstreamer

I try to play DVD whith totem-gstreamer in Ubuntu 8.04. It start playing but no menus or other navigation work. And I can't see DVD with this player. It can play only intro video. Then I try to start from command line (totem-gstreamer /media/cdrom0) but no effect.
I see the gstreamer is bad and have bugs. Better use xine. Totem-xine can play DVD with menus. Best is using latest version of xine. In Hardy Heron repository old version of xine (have bugs). In Intrepid Ibex repository more stable version (I not found bugs yet).

I use Ubuntu 8.04.1, Linux kernel 2.6.24-21-generic and all updates from official Hardy Heron repository.
