ktorrent 2.2.8 upgrade

Binary package hint: ktorrent

Hardy ktorrent is currently at version 2.2.5. Upstream has available 2.2.8, which consists of the following changes:

2.2.6: contains all the bugfixes which have happened since 2.2.5
2.2.7: fixes a rather nasty infinite loop in the queue manager
2.2.8: backported the security fixes for the webinterface plugin in 3.1.4 to the 2.2 series

Yes, but this is a security fix for hardy's version of ktorrent. Furthermore some users (me included) may not wish to change to the KDE4-based ktorrent-3*.

I'm sorry, but I shouldn't have to upgrade from the LTS version just to get a new version of ktorrent. Nor should I be required to upgrade to KDE4. Would it be possible to get the version of ktorrent that ships with Hardy (2.2.5) upgraded to 2.2.8 to address the security issues as mentioned in the original bug request.

Security fixes have now been handled by including them in our 2.2.5 patching: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/hardy/+source/ktorrent/2.2.5-0ubuntu1.1
