Bug Description

I own a HP Photosmart C6280 printer, which has always worked fine while using Ubuntu Hardy.

However, since I reinstalled my system with Ubuntu Intrepid I've not been able to print any photos using either F-Spot or The GIMP.

Printing text using OpenOffice.org seems to work just fine. Printing a test page in CUPS works fine as well.

After printing a photo, the my CPU usage rises to 100% for 5 minutes, and which a page comes out of my printer with the following text:

Error: /ioerror in --run--
                    Operand stack:
                                --nostringval-- --dict:7/16(L)--

After that, the printing dialog reports:
/usr/lib/cups/foomatic-rip failed: Printer PhotosmartC6280 may not be connected.

Troubleshoot.txt is incomplete due to disk space eaten up by the print job. See bug 288570.
