Bug Description

Updates as of Jan 30th 8:30 am pst for dapper.

NIC etho not started for DHCP.
This had been working for a few days so this is a regression.
Used networkconf ? Gui for network settings.
Changed to static IP becuase the active function went into a loop with a new graphic scanning pop-up. If the pop-up is closed the gui network settings goes all gray and needs to be closed.

Static ip set, mask, gateway
deleted all IPV6 references.
Changed 127.0.0.1 netbiosname.myproxyname
to
sta.tic.ip.nn netbiosname.myproxyname

clciked on active and got a connection.
