Bug Description

(Intrepid)

Network Manager 0.7 recognizes Sierra 885 (ver 1.3.2), but fails to connect. Upon clicking the 3G connection in network manager, connection fails immediately. Cannot seem to set APN. /var/log/daemon.log as follows:

Card tested & works fine in XP. Would really love a fix to this; great little card under Windows.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release the Karmic Koala. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next release of Ubuntu.
