Ulteo has just released the source for its Open Virtual Desktop.
In line with the WebOS objectives for Jaunty, this piece of software would be especially useful in the repos. The client distro is Kubuntu-based.
The long term solution would be to integrate the technology in the Desktop as proposed in this Brainstorm Idea (http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/idea/7945/), but meanwhile, packaging it for Jaunty would be a first step. Ideally, integration should be proposed for the Jaunty UDS as it matches the focus of that release.

FYI we provide packages for Ubuntu Hardy (which probably work fine on more recent versions of ubuntu, and on debian).

Also note that OVD is not exactly what ulteo offers in his online desktop (the default applications tarball uses xfce for OVD).
