Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz-fusion-plugins-extra

I have used following rule is used to match the logout window in GNOME:

(class=X-session-manager & type=Dialog)

With the login/logout plugin disabled, this window appears on top of all other windows. When the plugin is enabled, it appears below.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Karmic Koala. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next release of Ubuntu. You can find out more about the development release at http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/. Thanks again and we appreciate your help.

I cannot reproduce this problem in karmic. The rule to use to match the new dialogs in karmic is (class=Gtk-logout-helper & type=Dialog)

affects: compiz-fusion-plugins-extra (Ubuntu) → compiz (Ubuntu)

To be honest, I had forgotten all about this bug report. If I use the following rule in Jaunty, it works as expected:

(class=Fast-user-switch-applet & type=Dialog)

I suspect this will work fine in Karmic as well, but I will attempt to test with the live CD later this week.
