Bug Description

Binary package hint: korganizer

I'm using KDE 4.1.3 on Kubuntu 8.10
I've tried to make some filter to filter my appointment in korganizer but when I chose a filter the appointments are not filtered as I expect, this appens in kontact and using korganizer standalone.

Is this a bug or am I wrong?

It's hard to say if that's a bug or not, we need a bit more information to be able to tell.

Could you describe the steps you used to create the filter?
What you want the filter to do?
What the filter is actually doing compared to what you expect?

If you can give us the details we can try to reproduce the problem and see if it's a bug or intended behaviour.

thanks

OK, I will try to explain a bit what I think it should do.

I have some recurrent appointments, I want to filter these appointments to make things less clear.

Steps I use for make a filter :
1) I click on Settings menu
2) then Manage filters
3) I click on the new button
4) I rename it "my filter"
5) I check "hidden recurrents appointments and todos"
6) Then I click OK

The to filter my appointments :
1) I click on "View" menu
2) Click on "Filter"
3) Then I choose "my filter"

What appens? Nothing
What I think should appen? Recurrents appoinments should be hidden and only unfiltered appointments should be shown.

It doesn't work, so it is a bug (at least a usability one).

PS: I hope the UI text are all right because I use KDE in italian.
PPS: Sorry for my short bug report but I have internet only at university and here I have enought time and relax to make things OK.

Aldo,

You are correct this is a bug. I can confirm the same behaviour here. I've filed this upstream with KDE.

thanks

A fix has been committed upstream, but it doesn't look like it's been backported to the KDE 4.2 branch just yet.
