This happens to me too when searching from h.u.c/community but not h.u.c itself.

Though I do actually get results. Adi, what are you searching for?

Thanks for the report. The results are working as far as I can see, it's just the formatting that is broken. This is because of a broken path, which I've fixed in our repository and which should be pushed out to the website shortly.

Search is NOT working when Javascript is off.
Also help.ubuntu.com requires of users to execute external google.com script for search to work.
Firefox shows that user security is compromised when using help.ubuntu.com
because of page transmitted with https:// contains elements that are not secured.
Element not secured is google java script.

We should have search page working without java script on it
and if search engine used is google, user should not be forced
to activate google scripts on its side to see search results.

It could be done by not passing search requests from user to google directly,
but from help.ubuntu.com server
and serve user with search results in help.ubunut.com manner
so that user does not see google at all on help.ubuntu.com

Mathew, thanks for the update! The search result looks great !:)

I can imagine a non-javascript version could be useful for all kind of
mobile/embedded browsers, with no or poor javascript support.

I'm using epiphany on 8.04 and I got a security warning message every
time a help.ubuntu.com page is loaded, including the search page.

I think that non-javascript users are only normal users in this moment that value their privacy.
It is not wrong to use java script, but just scripts form ubuntu.com, not external ones.

I use Seamonkey and Firefox on 8.04 and I get both security warnings and no search results,
Fix is not applied yet.
