Bug Description

Binary package hint: network-manager-gnome

Intrepid keeps trying to login to my wifi with password proction while connected with wire. When I'm connect with wire, no attempts should be made to connect to any wifi at all.

I can confirm this issue, although I suspect this is a feature, not a bug. A possible workaround is disabling wireless by right-clicking on nm tray icon.

I've switched to wicd and am gonna stick with that one. Please do with this issue as you see fit.

I'm going to leave this bug report as confirmed. You have provided all
the information for describing this issue although, this is not really
a bug, but a suggestion for improving this program. So, lets wait for
a developer's opinion.

The important thing here is how the routing table looks like. Could you post the result of "route -n", possibly mask out IP addresses if you want.

The wired connection should be prioritized there so that the traffic is actually go through your wired connection. It is possibly useful to have wifi up, so that it quickly can replace the wired connection if you disconnect the wire.

I am not using this version of Ubuntu anymore. If nobody else is experiencing this, this bug can be closed.
