Bug Description

Hello. I use Firefox 3.0.3 under Ubuntu 8.10.

I often use a webpage for managing my parental leave. In Sweden this is done by logging at a webpage by using a system called BankID (similar to loggin in to a bank).
Anyhow, since upgrading to 8.10 (32 bit), the java applet on this webpage (http://www.forsakringskassan.se/inloggning/privatpersoner/index.php then click on "BankID") hangs firefox!

I've tried with Sun java plugin 6 and 5, both crash!
And I've tried with IcedTea on Ubuntu 8.10 64 bit. In this case I can log in, but not "sign" (also hangs) when I've finished with my business.

Now, I've tried with Firefox 3.0.3 and Sun java plugin 6 on Opensolaris, and this works! From what I can see, both OSes use the same version of the java plugin (1.6.0-10 b33) and Firefox 3.0.3; but something is obviously different!

I don't know where to find any logs from Firefox, but since it hangs I'm not sure if any logs are produced.

I don't know if it's a duplicate of 288397. I tried to log in using Sun Java plugin version 5, but experienced the same problem.

I talked to the support for the service in question, and they claimed it didn't work with Firefox 3 at all, and that I needed Firefox 2. But he didn't sound very professional, and I have it working under OpenSolaris with Firefox 3!
