Bug Description
Binary package hint: grub2
Hi all,
If I use grub --version I get the following :-
$grub --version
grub (GNU GRUB 0.97)
I ams shown the various utilities which grub2 has but can't find version info.
~$ grub-
grub-editenv grub-install grub-mkimage grub-probe grub-setup
grub-emu grub-mkdevicemap grub-mkrescue grub-set-default
Or even tried this :-
grub2 --version
bash: grub2: command not found
The only way I am able to find version info. is using dpkg -l grub2$ dpkg -l grub2

This IMHO is a regression which should be fixed.
ProblemType: Bug
Architecture: i386
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04
Package: grub2 1.96+20080724-
ProcEnviron:
SHELL=/bin/bash
PATH=/
LANG=en_IN
SourcePackage: grub2
Uname: Linux 2.6.27-7-generic i686
Running $GRUB_UTILITY --version gives the correct version for that utility. For example: grub-emu --version responds with
"""
grub-emu (GRUB) 1.96
"""
Since there is no grub2 executable, and it doesn't make sense to have one, I don't think this is a bug.
