Bug Description
Binary package hint: rhythmbox
Music files played with rhythmbox sound real bad. This does not happen when the same file is played with vlc, gnome player or mplayer!
This situation is reproducible all the time and happens with any sound files mp3, ogg, m4a etc.
I am on Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex 8.10, my rhythmbox version is 0.11.6.
Note that I never had this problem with the previous versions of ubuntu on this machine (7.04 -> 8.04)...
Thanks for your interest/.

thanks for the report, are you using the crossfading backend? does it happens without it? what's gnome-player? totem? do you get the same if you play the file with: gst-launch playbin uri=file: ///directory/ file ? thanks.
