Bug Description
Binary package hint: cups
Doing a test print for a colour printer requires users up far too much ink. You get the Ubuntu logo, as well as each colour, in each percent, and a nice dotted border to go along with it. Now realistically, there should only be a few lines for yellow, cyan, and magenta, and the Ubuntu logo really isn't necessary.
In this day and age, ink costs quite a bit of money, and wasting it on a test print really isn't what should happen. Perhaps the default test print should be a few lines, as suggested above, and a specific test print, for each colour can be optional.
I hate to bring it up, but tests prints in Windows are as simple as that.

Yes; the printer test page in Ubuntu waste far too much ink. This is a big problem that needs to be addressed NOW.
After two or three test pages my printers are running low on ink. Ubuntu's printer test pages simply suck all the ink out of the printer.
Not very beneficial to end users.
Please address and correct this monstrosity.
