Bug Description

I have set gnome-screensaver to lock the screen if the screensaver is activated. If I close the lid of my laptop, and then open it later, I would expect it to be locked also.

Steps to replicate:

 1. In System->Preferences->Screensaver check the option to lock the screen
 2. Close the laptop lid.
 3. Open the lid.

What happens:

The screen comes back immediately, with no lock in place.

What I would expect to happen:

The screensaver should be active and the screen locked. The password dialog should be presented upon opening the lid. Entering the password should then restore the screen.

It is the same on my machine (Dell X1) with a freshly installed daily build (Feb-03).

This is a regression from Breezy, where it worked flawlessly.

it is planned to have a "lock only" option in gnome-power-managers lid actions for this, i'll follow up on the bug once its added.

This "lock only" option should also switch off the screen backlight to save power.

the option is added to gnome-powermanager 0.3.4-0ubuntu7, it locks the screen and shuts off the backlight if selected

@ogra: has this regressed (in Natty)?
Although I have selected "Blank screen" with "When laptop lid is closed" in the "On AC Power" the screen does not get locked when closing the lid. The same with the "On Battery Power" tab.

@Daniel, no idea, i don't personally see it here (note that i haven't touched gnome-power-manager in years, so i cant tell if there were code changes that would touch this area)
