Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

I am running the latest Intrepid.
I plugged in a second monitor to my laptop and set it up through the Screen Resolution settings as usual, and this works fine. This time, though, I noticed that when I open a context menu from right click, a regular menu from Firefox for example, or a tool tip, it will display itself on the first screen instead of the second one.
My hypothesis is that when compiz started, it set its virtual screen settings, and now that I added the second monitor, it can only put things in the first screen, because that's as big as its virtual space is. Shadows and such appear on the second monitor, but the actual object is on the first.
