Bug Description
Binary package hint: openoffice.
I was trying to print my work on writer 2.4 but no signal from printer?
I checked the UBUNTU FORUNS for help, and see other reports like this (you send your work to the printer, but no paper comes out). Most strange, when I print from other programs the paperwork cames without problem ...
My system: UBUNTU 8.10 Intrepid
My printer: OKI B2200

Can you please apply all updates at first, perhaps this is already sufficient for the OpenOffice.org jobs to print.
Then do
cupsctl LogLevel=debug
cancel -a
cupsenable <print queue name>
Then print a job. Wait until the job gets processed (either it cups/error_ log here. Please DO NOT compress it.
disappears from the print queue then or goes into "Stopped" state). Then
attach your /var/log/
To get general information, start also system- config- printer and choose "Troubleshooting" in the "Help" menu. Follow the steps in the wizard and attach the resulting file. Please do not compress this file, too.
