Bug Description
Hi,
I am user of Kubuntu 8.10 amd64 with kde4. The system wasn't upgraded but recently installed in new hard disk.
And I have a problem with konsole then I search with Ctrl-R to go back in history using "arrow up" button.
Often konsole hide the characters that I edit in command line showing old text over it, moving cursor to the start position , so I need to write in blind guessing the what I was wrote.
This bug appear to me like this:

user@user-
affects: | ubuntu → kdebase (Ubuntu) |

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the newest release - Karmic Koala. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next release of Ubuntu. Thanks again and we appreciate your help.
