Bug Description
Kubuntu 8.10, Thinkpad R61i
Special keys for sound volume usually work fine (volume changes and there is OSD (on-screen display) for sound volume)
However, when one of the following happens a) the KDE menu is opened b) the sound applet is opened c) the Klipper is opened, etc... then there is no OSD and there is no change in sound volume.
