Bug Description
Binary package hint: firefox
Firefox segfaults just a second after launched. Removing ~/.mozilla helped slightly, it shows up and opens some pages but crashes often. Also, it segfaults every time I try to open Preferences window.
Epiphany-gecko segfaults whenever a page is opened. It starts rendering page and before it's done it crashes. I can open Preferences dialog without problems.
Running it from command line does not give any output other than just "Segmentation fault".
$ apt-cache show firefox | grep Version
Version: 3.0.3+nobinonly
$ apt-cache show epiphany-browser | grep Version
Version: 2.24.1-0ubuntu1
$ apt-cache show xulrunner | grep Version
Version: 1.8.1.16+
$ uname -a
Linux uglybox 2.6.27-8-generic #1 SMP Thu Nov 6 17:33:54 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux
It was fine just before last upgrade.
The problem is caused by totem-mozilla. Removing it brings Firefox back to life.
$ sudo apt-get remove --purge totem-mozilla
