Bug Description

The KDE dialogs, particularly the Open and Save dialogs, are not modal. That is, when a Save dialog is up, I can still click on the document, and continue editing it. This does not happen with GNOME or standard X widgets (they will not allow you to click on the document, and the Save dialog is brought up instead)

This behavior is extremely annoying, but seems to be very widespread, generally with any KDE-integrating implementation of OOo 2.0, I can see this happen. I have no idea who should this bug belong to, but someone needs to take the initiative to solve this problem.

Martin also said that the OpenOffice.org KDE guy is aware of this and has it on his todo list (though not very close to the top IIRC).

didn't Martin want to link to the upstream bug tracker?

no, there is not upstream issue.

<kendy> martink: Seems that there's no IZ for that; but no reason to
file one, I know about it...
