Bug Description

Binary package hint: icedtea6-plugin

Ubuntu 8.10

If you have installed the icedtea6-plugin and go to http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp?detect=jre&try=1 with a 64bit Firefox 3 you get an error message about a wrong URL provided. The URL in the address bar looks strange and different every time you do this.

Also affected are other sites who use JAVA. Same strange URLs generated.

Strange, for me the dancing dukes top is visible.
Both in the browser as in the appletviewer:

the URL on this page now loads, and redirects you to a page which is not found. The page seems to expect sun java plugins, nothing else. can't be reproduced anymore.
