Bug Description
I have a web site deployed in windows server 2003 enterprise (http://
I access this site with Windows, Red-Hat, Apple, etc with no problems at all.
When I access with ubuntu (kerner 2.6.25 or 2.6.27) it takes more than half an hour to complete to download the first page.
I test it in several machines with the same network configuration.
I have a machine with ubuntu, kernel 2.6.15 and there are no problems in this machine. I can access the site in seconds.
I disabled ipv6, but the problem persists.
What can I do ?
Thanks.

I found some information related to this problem at www.ventanazul. com/webzine/ articles/ cannot- access- websites- ubuntu- gutsy-gibbon
http://
I followed the instrutions:
1. sudo vi /etc/sysctl.conf
2. add this lines
net.ipv4.tcp_wmem = 4096 16384 131072
net.ipv4.tcp_rmem = 4096 87380 174760
3. execute
sudo sysctl -p
Now it works just fine at my desktop.
The problem is that this site is public so the clients who access this site don't have this solution.
It should be a global fix for this problem.
Thanks.
