VERSION is omitting the release

Binary package hint: landscape-client

In /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/landscape/__init__.py, VERSION is just "1.0.23" instead of the full version+release which would currently be "1.0.23-0ubuntu0.8.10". This makes the user-agent of the client also be just "1.0.23".

Packages in hardy and all other previous distros correctly report the release part in VERSION.

I've taken a brief look at this and I'm not sure how the version
could have gotten into this broken state (and I have verified that
it is broken, as reported). I've just used autoppa-switch on trunk
as:

autoppa-switch 1.0.24-0ubuntu0 intrepid

and it generates the right version string:

VERSION = "AUTOPPA_VERSION(1.0.24-0ubuntu0.8.10)"[len("AUTOPPA_VERSION("):-1]

I wonder if the broken version was a result of an issue in AutoPPA
(such as intrepid not being in the list of known Ubuntu releases)
and if the recent changes Chris made to integrate autoppa-switch
have fixed it? I don't have an AutoPPA environment in place here
and it's late; tomorrow when I have more time I'll do a test build
and see if the bug persists.

This is fixed in 1.3.2.1 and in the packages which we will release shortly after they pass the QA process.
