When running "xrander -s ...."(e.g.,xrander -s 1,2..) it works fine.
The issue only happens on x86-64 .

Thanks for reporting this bug. However we need more information.
Please attach your complete /var/log/syslog and /var/log/Xorg.0.log files to this report after reproducing the bug.

Also, please post the output from the following commands:
* lshw -C display
* uname -a
* tail -f /var/log/Xorg.0.log >> ~/296584_tail-of-Xorg.0.log (now reproduce the bug.)
In your home directory there will hopefully be a file called 296584_tail-of-Xorg.0.log filled with relevant information. Please attach that too.

Thanks in advance!

Hi, thanks for the attachments.

Here is the first diagnose. From your xorg log i can see you're using your integrated intel card, but you're also having an nvidia card installed. Perhaps the fact that you have two chipset can make the X-server confused.
I found this interesting line in your syslog:
Nov 15 02:09:36 test-laptop gdm[7180]: WARNING: gdm_slave_xioerror_handler: Fatal X error - Restarting :0
witch simply means that your x-server crashed, but we already new that, didn't we:)

We need more information about what is causing this. Please follow the instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Debugging in order to generate a backtrace and attach your results to this bug.

Thanks in advance.

Please also attach:

 * output of lspci -vvnn
 * Xorg.0.log and Xorg.0.log.out from after reproducing the problem

Are you able to reproduce the problem with xrandr while using the --output and --mode options? (See man xrandr for info on these and other options).
